At Family Lifeline’s June meeting of the Board of Directors, we honored and bid farewell to three long-time members who collectively have served a total of 27 years in support of our work and mission. Pictured above with their favorite children’s book, Family Lifeline will donate these books in their honor to families with small children in our programs to help support early childhood education and development.
Frona Colker (2007-2016)
Frona began her service with CHIP of Richmond and participated in the merger with Family Lifeline in 2012. Her dear friend Susan Meyers initially introduced her to the organization and she has been a committed supporter ever since – serving on the Governance Committee and as the board representative on Family Lifeline’s staff engagement committee. She’s proud of her involvement with Family Lifeline and will continue to support its work.
Samara Saylor Musselman (2010-2016)
Samara has served on the board of Family Lifeline for 6 years when former CEO & President Grace Sparks and Governance Chair Patte Koval approached her about serving. She has enjoyed every moment of her service. An active and contributing board member, she has served on the Fund Development Committee and provided critical support to fundraising activities like Family Lifeline’s annual fundraising event, CHOCOHOLIC.
Benjamin “Chip” Woodson (2003-2009 and 2010-2016)
Chip has served on the board of Family Lifeline for a total of 12 years starting his service with CHIP of Richmond and participating in the merger with Family Lifeline in 2012. He has seen and experienced tremendous growth in the organization and couldn’t be more proud or thrilled with the direction the organization is headed. He is a lifelong advocate and community builder who will continue to give back.
